Yes, these brownies are beyond simple. Simple because they take zero brain power to make and are also ready in just the exact time that it takes to watch an episode of The Americans. Slightly gooey, cake like brownies call for a simple topping and lemon sugar takes the cake. I mean brownie.

Cooking Instructions

step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Spray an 8 by 8 baking pan with non stick cooking spray.

In a mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, cream Unsalted Butter (1/2 cup) and Granulated Sugar (1 cup).

Add Eggland's Best Classic Eggs (4) one at a time. Add All-Purpose Flour (1 cup) All-Purpose Flour (2 Tbsp), Baking Powder (1/2 tsp) and Salt (1/4 tsp). Stir to combine. Add Chocolate Syrup (1 1/2 cups) and Earl Grey Tea (2 Tbsp).

Pour the batter into the baking pan and bake for about 40 to 45 minutes.

In a large bowl, combine Powdered Confectioners Sugar (1/2 cup) and the juice from Lemon (1) until slightly thick. Remove the brownies from the oven, cool, slice, and then drizzle lemon sugar on top.
