Cooking Instructions

In the skillet, heat the Vegetable Oil (1 Tbsp) over medium heat. Once hot, add the Garlic (3 cloves) and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Add the Whole Peeled Tomatoes (2 cups), Fresh Basil Leaves (4 Tbsp), Salt (1/2 tsp), Ground Black Pepper (1/4 tsp), and Granulated Sugar (1 tsp). Cook for 5 minutes.

Once tomatoes become soft, use a wooden spoon to crush and break them down into small pieces. Let the sauce simmer over low heat for 10 more minutes until the sauce is ready.

In the pot with boiling Water (6 cups), stir in 1 tsp of Salt (1 tsp). Then add the Gnocchi (1 lb) and cook according to the package instructions. The gnocchi is ready when it floats to the top.

Use a slotted spoon to transfer gnocchi to the sauce. Add Grated Parmesan Cheese (1/2 cup). Gently toss the gnocchi in the sauce.

Serve on the plate with more parmesan cheese on top. Garnish with basil leaves.
