Hong Kong Style French Toast

Hong Kong style French toast typically has a thick layer of peanut butter and a drizzle of condensed milk. In my version however, I like to add some mozzarella cheese and use maple syrup instead.

Whole Wheat Breador Any Bread Toast

Peanut Butter

Unsalted Butter

Maple Syrupor Condensed Milk, Golden Syrup

Cooking Instructions

step 1

Remove the crusts from the Whole Wheat Bread (2 pieces).

step 2

Spread a layer of Peanut Butter (2 Tbsp) on one slice.

step 3

Add some Shredded Cheese (2 Tbsp) and place the two slices of bread together.

step 4

In a bowl, beat the Eggland's Best Classic Egg (1), Milk (1 Tbsp), Vanilla Extract (2 dashes), and Salt (1 pinch) together.

Soak both sides of bread in the egg mixture.

In a pan over medium heat, heat a good layer of Vegetable Oil (as needed). Cook on each side until golden brown.

Transfer into a plate and top with some Unsalted Butter (to taste). Serve with either Maple Syrup (to taste) or condensed milk. Golden syrup works well too!
