Cooking Instructions

step 1

In a pot over medium heat, add Corn Oil (4 Tbsp), Garlic (1 Tbsp), Adobo Seasoning (1 Tbsp), Salt (1 Tbsp), Ground Oregano (1/4 tsp), Soy Sauce (4 Tbsp), and 1 Tbsp of juice from a Lime (1). Stir well.

step 2

Add Yellow Onion (1/2), Yellow Bell Pepper (1/2), Pimento Stuffed Green Olives (2 Tbsp), and stir.

step 3

Once it's simmering add Tomato Sauce (1 can), stir, and then add the Black Beans (1 can).

step 4

Add Water (4 1/2 cups), Fresh Cilantro (to taste), Frozen Mixed Vegetables (1 bag), and stir. Now cover and bring to a boil.

step 5

Once the liquid is boiling, add the Long Grain White Rice (4 cups) and stir. Make sure the rice doesn't stick to the bottom of the pot. Allow water to evaporate.

step 6

Once the liquid evaporates, lower to a simmer and cover for 25 to 30 minutes.

step 7

After 25 to 30 minutes, uncover rice and stir. Cover again for 5 minutes. Uncover, stir and it is ready to serve! We serve it with Pollo Guisado (Stewed Chicken), Rabo Guisado (Oxtail Stew), even with Dominican Fried Chicken Wings.
