Lomo Saltado is a Peruvian dish consisting of sliced steak, onions, tomatoes, and french fries. It is so delicious and easy to make, the perfect easy weeknight dinner.

Soy Sauce

Distilled White Vinegar

Cooking Instructions

step 1

Season Sirloin Steak (1 lb) with Salt (to taste) and Ground Black Pepper (to taste). In a large skillet over high heat, add Cooking Oil (2 Tbsp). Allow the oil to get hot, then add the beef and cook until the beef is fully cooked through, about 2 minutes per side. Remove from the pan onto a plate.

In a small jug, mix together Beef Broth (1/3 cup), Soy Sauce (2 Tbsp), and Distilled White Vinegar (2 Tbsp). Set aside.

Add Cooking Oil (1 Tbsp) to the pan and cook Red Onion (1/2) until softened, about 3 minutes.

Add Garlic (2 cloves) and cook for about 30 seconds.

Add Plum Tomatoes (3) and cook for 1 minutes or less.

Return beef to the pan and stir in beef broth mixture.

Turn off the heat, then toss with French Fries (4 cups).

Serve warm garnished with Fresh Cilantro (to taste).
