Cooking Instructions

step 1

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

step 2

In a small bowl, mix Butter (1/3 cup), Garlic (4 cloves), Italian Seasoning (1 tsp), and Salt (1 pinch) together.

step 3

On a surface dusted with All-Purpose Flour (1 pinch), roll out the Pizza Dough (1 lb) into an 8x10-inch rectangle, about 1/4-inch thick. Cut pizza dough into 1x2-inch strips.

step 4

Brush the oil mixture on top of each strip, and wrap each Cocktail Sausages (44) in pizza dough and roll them up. Pinch the seam to seal.

step 5

Brush the bottom and walls of a 9-inch springform pan with the garlic butter mixture. Place pigs in a blanket seam side down and arrange around the edge. Repeat until you have finished 2 layers.

step 6

Brush the Eggland's Best Classic Egg (1) on top of the top layer. Sprinkle with Everything Bagel Seasoning (1 Tbsp).

step 7

Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Optional: place an aluminum foil ball in the center to keep them in place. Let cook for 10 minutes before removing from the pan.

step 8

Meanwhile, melt Butter (2 Tbsp) in a saucepan over medium heat. Saute the Scallion (1/2 cup) (only the white part) and Onion (1) until translucent, about 5 minutes.

step 9

Add in Diced Tomatoes (1/2 cup), Garlic (3 cloves), Ground Cumin (1/2 tsp), Cayenne Pepper (1/2 tsp), Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (1/2 tsp), and Dried Oregano (1/4 tsp). Cook for 2 minutes.

step 10

Add in Corn Starch (1 Tbsp) and Milk (2 cups), stir well to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat until thickened, then reduce heat to low.

step 11

Add in American Cheese (1 3/4 cups) and Monterey Jack Cheese (1 1/2 cups) one handful at a time and stir vigorously to incorporate fully. Make sure the mixture doesn’t bubble. Repeat until all cheese is added.

step 12

Remove queso from heat, stir in Pickled Jalapeño Pepper (1/3 cup) and juice, Fresh Cilantro (4 Tbsp), and scallions (green part). Mix well and season with Salt (to taste).

step 13

Serve pigs in a blanket with jalapeno queso.
