Cooking Instructions

step 1

Preheat your oven to 375 °F (190 °C).

step 2

Slice about ½ inch off the top of each Vidalia Onions (4) and peel off the outer layer.

step 3

Using a paring knife or spoon, carefully hollow out the center, creating a well for the filling. Be sure to leave enough layers to hold the shape.

step 4

Prepare the filling in a bowl. Mix the Unsalted Butter (4 Tbsp), Simply Organic Garlic Powder (1 tsp), Smoked Paprika (1 tsp), Cajun Seasoning (1 tsp), Salt (1 tsp), Ground Black Pepper (1/2 tsp), Dried Thyme (1/2 tsp), Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (1/2 tsp), and Parmesan Cheese (2 Tbsp).

step 5

Place each onion on a sheet of aluminum foil. Pour the seasoned butter mixture into the hollowed centers, letting it seep down into the layers. Wrap each onion tightly in foil to create a sealed pouch.

step 6

Arrange the foil-wrapped onions on a baking sheet. Bake for 1 hour, or until the onions are tender and caramelized inside.

step 7

Carefully unwrap and check for doneness by piercing with a knife; it should slide through easily.

step 8

Garnish with Fresh Parsley (to taste) and serve warm.
